Since terrorism is a global phenomenon, the EU also cooperates closely with partner countries and international organisations regarding counter-terrorism legislation, law enforcement and judicial cooperation.

3. Each Member State shall promptly share information and cooperate with other relevant Member States, relevant third countries and relevant international organisations regarding the loss, theft or discovery of high-activity sealed sources, other radioactive sources and radioactive material of concern and regarding related follow-up or investigations, without prejudice to relevant confidentiality requirements and relevant national legislation.

The Commission may decide with effect for the entire Union that a third country, a territory or specified sector within a third country, or an international organisation, offers an adequate level of data protection, thus providing legal certainty and uniformity throughout the Union as regards the third country or international organisation which is considered to provide such level of protection.

5. Suggests in this context that the Commission, in line with paragraph 17 of UN Security Council Resolution 2199 of 12 February 2015, focus on the fight against illicit trade in cultural artefacts, specifically as regards items of cultural heritage illegally removed from Iraq since 6 August 1990 and from Syria since 15 March 2011; calls on the Commission to devise a coordinated approach for combating that illegal trade, working together with those responsible at national level in the investigation services and in close cooperation with UNESCO and other international organisations such as ICOM (International Council of Museums), ICOM’s International Committee of the Blue Shield (ICBS), Europol, Interpol, UNIDROIT (International Institute for the Unification of Private Law), the WCO (World Customs Organisation), ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property);
5. suggère, dans ce contexte, que conformément au paragraphe 17 de la résolution 2199 du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies du 12 février 2015, la Commission se concentre sur la lutte contre le commerce illégal des biens culturels, notamment en ce qui concerne les pièces du patrimoine culturel sorties illégalement d'Iraq depuis le 6 août 1990 et de Syrie depuis le 15 mars 2011; invite la Commission à définir une stratégie coordonnée de lutte contre ce commerce illicite en collaboration avec les responsables nationaux des services d'enquête et en étroite collaboration avec l'Unesco et d'autres organisations internationales comme le Conseil international des musées (ICOM), le comité international du bouclier bleu de l'ICOM (ICBS), Europol, Interpol, l'Institut international pour l'unification du droit privé (Unidroit), l'Organisation mondiale des douanes (OMD), le Conseil international des monuments et des sites (Icomos) et le Centre international d'études pour la conservation et la restauration des biens culturels (ICCROM);

33. Agrees with the WCSDG that parliamentary oversight of the multilateral system should be progressively expanded; welcomes the proposal for a Parliamentary Group concerned with coherence and consistency between global economic, social and environmental policies, which should develop integrated oversight of major international organisations; regards this as an opportunity for the European Parliament to become involved in the Parliamentary Group and to contribute to maximising the benefits of globalisation for all social groups;
33. convient avec la CMDSM qu'il y a lieu de renforcer progressivement le contrôle parlementaire du système multilatéral; se félicite de la proposition de création d'un groupe parlementaire sur la cohérence et la logique des politiques économiques, sociales et environnementales mondiales, groupe qui assurerait un contrôle intégré des grandes organisation internationales; y voit l'occasion pour le Parlement européen d'adhérer au groupe parlementaire et de contribuer à une maximalisation des avantages de la mondialisation pour toutes les catégories sociales;

30.
