e practices in open registry shipping such as substandard ships or crew conditions; - Commission will be active in the areas of maritime safety and pollution prevention; - a draft regulation has already been presented to the Council designeed to eliminate distortions of competition between ports which may arise from national regulation of hinterland traffic.
