Urges a continuation of the efforts initiated by the former director- general of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, José Bustani, to bring Iraq into the Chemical Weapons Convention, implying the destruction of chemical weapons stores and facilities - should these exist - and constant independent monitoring to ensure compliance;

José Bustani, en vue d'associer l'Irak à la convention sur les armes chimiques, laquelle impose la destructions des stocks d'armes chimiques et des installations de fabrication – pour peu qu'elles existent – et un contrôle, permanent et indépendant, de son application;
