The accident of 30 September in the JCO Ltd. uranium conversion plant in Tokaimura and the incident of 4 October in the Wolsong-3 nuclear power plant in South Korea highlighted once more the importance of ensuring the highest levels of safety in installations dealing with radioactive materials.
L’accident survenu le 30 septembre dans l’usine de transformation de l’uranium JCO Ltd. à Tokaimura et l’incident du 4 octobre dans la centrale nucléaire Wolsong-3 en Corée du Sud ont souligné une fois de plus l’importance d’assurer des niveaux de sécurité très élevés dans les installations nucléaires.
