We did so because in its initial bill, the government increased the powers of the minister and the CRTC in international telecommunications now that restrictions have been lifted and it took the opportunity to dust off the Telecommunications Act in the light of the new conditions of this lifting of restrictions in the domestic market.
Nous l'avons fait, parce que le gouvernement, dans son projet de loi initial, accroissait les pouvoirs du ministre et ceux du CRTC, non seulement en matière de télécommunications internationales désormais libéralisées, mais également, il en profitait pour épousseter, compte tenu des nouvelles conditions de cette libéralisation dans le marché national, la Loi sur les télécommunications.
