The Commission had initiated the procedure provided for in Article 93 (2) of the EEC Treaty in February 1991(1) against LIT 66 billion capital and a subsidized loan of LIT 10 billion, which had been granted to Nuova Cartiera di Arbatax in 1989/90 without prior notification to the Commission, and against LIT 12 billion capital which the Italian Government intended to grant at a later stage.
La Commission avait engagé en février 1991(1) la procédure prévue à l'article 93 paragraphe 2 du Traité CEE contre une subvention en capital de 66 milliards de LIT et un prêt bonifié de 10 milliards de LIT, qui avaient été accordés à Nuova Cartiera di Arbatax en 1989/90 sans notification préalable à la Commission, et contre une subvention en capital de 12 milliards de LIT que le gouvernement italien avait l'intention d'accorder ultérieurement.
