Concentrating the capacity required to meet the multilingual communication needs of a number of agencies spread across the territory of the Union in a single autonomous and specialized centre should ensure the most efficient use of resources, reduce downtime and avoid the duplication of logistic support services such as terminology, documentation, libraries, and information and telecommunication services. Sur proposition de M. Karel Van Miert, la Commission propose au Conseil d'adopter un règlement instituant le Centre de traduction inter agences.
