For the purposes of this Act, a person found guilty of a sexual offence against a child does not include a young person found guilty of a sexual offence against a child under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, unless that young person was given an adult sentence, or a young person found guilty of a sexual offence against a child under the Young Offenders Act, unless that young person was found guilty of the offence in ordinary court.
