I wish to congratulate Mrs Oomen-Ruijten on her excellent report on Turkey and also to congratulate Mr Swoboda and, of course, Mr Thaler, despite the fact that I disagree with certain aspects of his approach and his report.
Je tiens à féliciter M Oomen-Ruijten pour son excellent rapport consacré à la Turquie. Je félicite également M. Swoboda, et évidemment M Thaler, même si je ne suis pas d’accord avec certains aspects de son approche et de son rapport.

– (NL) Madam President, it is a little odd that I should have to take the floor on behalf of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market, but that is because Mrs Oomen-Ruijten, who has written the opinion for Mr Bouwman’s report – on which I should like to congratulate him warmly – is unable to attend due to a change in schedule. I can, in fact, be relatively brief about the opinion.
- (NL) Madame la Présidente, il est quelque peu étrange que je prenne la parole au nom de la commission juridique mais cela est dû au fait que Mme Oomen-Ruijten, qui a rédigé l’avis relatif au rapport de M.Bouwman - et pour lequel je le félicite de tout cœur -, ne peut être présente pour le moment à cause de la modification de l’ordre du jour.
