In his capacity of rapporteur, he mentioned the key points of the opinion and highlighted the persistent open dialogue action dealt by the EESC with the Turkish civil society. He stressed too the clear conditions demanded in the Opinion in order to support accession, such as the importance of conformity to the international Conventions on trade union rights, the free functioning of the civil society organisations, etc.
