Without prejudice to Article 5, in the case of re-registration of a vehicle already registered in another Member State, each Member State shall recognise the roadworthiness certificate issued by that other Member State, as if it had itself issued that certificate, provided that the roadworthiness certificate is still valid in terms of the frequency intervals established for periodic roadworthiness tests by the re-registering Member State.
3. 3a. In the event that a vehicle is re-registered in another Member State and the proof of the last roadworthiness test and the date for the next roadworthiness test appear on the registration certificate, the Member State in which the vehicle is re-registered, when issuing the new registration certificate, shall recognise the validity of the roadworthiness certificate and, provided the certificate is valid in terms of the testing intervals applied in the Member State of re-registration, shall include a statement to that effect on the new registration certificate.
3 bis. 3b. In the event that the ownership of the vehicle changes and the proof of the last roadworthiness test and the date for the next roadworthiness test appear on the registration certificate, the Member State concerned, when issuing the new registration certificate to the new owner, shall recognise the validity of the roadworthiness certificate and shall include a statement to that effect on the new registration certificate".
3 ter. Lorsqu'un véhicule change de propriétaire, et que le résultat du dernier contrôle technique ainsi que la date à laquelle le suivant doit être effectué figurent sur le certificat d'immatriculation, l'État membre concerné reconnaît, lors de la délivrance du nouveau certificat d'immatriculation au nouveau propriétaire, la validité du certificat de contrôle technique et fait figurer sur le nouveau certificat d'immatriculation une mention à cet effet".
