Besides, Mrs De Keyser, in my office as Commissioner for the Internal Market and Financial Services, it is not by chance that, in addition to the visits that I now make every week to each of the capitals of the Union and after the first visit that I had to make to the United States, since almost all of our transactions are transatlantic ones, I was anxious to make my second visit outside the Union to Addis Ababa, at the end of July, to meet the leaders of the African Union. The signing of the Agreement amending for the second time the Partnership Agreement between the members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part, signed in Cotonou on 23 June 2000, as first amended in Luxembourg on 25 June 2005 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’), together with the joint declarations and the declaration by the Union, attached to the Final Act, is hereby approved on behalf of the Union, subject to the conclusion of the said Agreement.
La signature de l’accord modifiant pour la deuxième fois l’accord de partenariat entre les membres du groupe des États d'Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique, d’une part, et la Communauté européenne et ses États membres, d’autre part, signé à Cotonou le 23 juin 2000 et modifié une première fois à Luxembourg le 25 juin 2005 (ci-après dénommé «l’accord»), ainsi que les déclarations communes et la déclaration de l’Union jointes à l’acte final, est approuvée au nom de l’Union, sous réserve de la conclusion dudit accord.

This option would reflect the developments since the second revision of the CPA took place in 2010, but would not provide the needed policy coherence with the more recent regional strategies and would not reflect adequately the growing importance of the continental (African Union), regional and sub-regional level.
Cette option prendrait en compte les changements intervenus depuis la seconde révision de l'APC, qui a eu lieu en 2010, mais n'offrirait pas la nécessaire cohérence de l'action avec les stratégies régionales plus récentes et ne tiendrait pas suffisamment compte de l’importance croissante des niveaux continental (Union africaine), régional et infrarégional.
