From the contacts and meetings which the Delegation had with Palestinian and Israeli officials, it drew the conclusion that the withdrawal of the Israeli settlers from Gaza last summer and other measures, such as the construction of the wall - which is still going on - and the cutting-off of Jerusalem from the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories are unilateral acts carried out by Israel and not part of the Road Map or a new peace process, the aim of which is to establish a state of affairs which benefits the Israeli side alone.
Les contacts et les réunions que la délégation a pu avoir avec les responsables palestiniens et israéliens lui ont permis de conclure que l’opération de retrait des colons de la bande de Gaza menée l’été dernier ainsi que les autres mesures, comme la construction du mur, qui se poursuit, et la séparation de Jérusalem du reste des territoires palestiniens occupés, constituaient des actes unilatéraux posés par Israël en dehors du cadre de la Feuille de route ou d’un nouveau processus de paix, actes dont l’objectif est de créer un état de fait qui ne bénéficie qu’à la partie israélienne.
