Further, there are no clear channels of communication between the Scientific Veterinary Committee and the Standing Veterinary Committee. This means that there are no guarantees that a scientific position of the Scientific Veterinary Committee will necessarily be adequately represented on the Standing Veterinary Committee; responsibility for ensuring the flow of information appears to lie with the Commission.
