I believe that the most serious limitation in all the years of this very generous and intelligent process has been the failure to make our different societies relate to each other, and because of that, terrorism and immigration today threaten to widen the gulf even further.
Je crois que l’obstacle le plus conséquent auquel s’est heurté ce processus très généreux et intelligent au fil de toutes ces années, c’est de ne pas avoir pu mettre nos différentes sociétés en rapport les unes avec les autres et, de ce fait, le terrorisme et l’immigration menacent d’approfondir davantage encore ce fossé.
