Despite the limited possibilities afforded by the TEN budget (2007-2013), the new Member States should be able – thanks to access to regional funds and more particularly to the Cohesion Fund – to realise most of the priority projects within the prescribed time limits but also to modernise their rail and road networks as well as some of the ports and airports that are of regional or international importance.
