I think there is a middle ground of Europeans who have a more modest view, and they logically ask themselves if Europe at some time—and they've been very poor at coming up with an example of this—will want to take military action separately from the U.S. And boy, you have to really do some head scratching to come up with one of those, but perhaps with the recent U.S. administration it will come sooner rather than later, because they're not consulting very well.
