The Italian delegation gave the following explanation of its vote: "The Italian delegation is voting against the adoption of the common position on the Regulation concerning the creation of a supplementary protection certificate for plant protection products because it considers that the thirteenth recital goes further than Article 4 and that that wider interpretation cannot be extended to Regulation No 1768/92 concerning the creation of a supplementary protection certificate for medicinal products, which has already been adopted and is in force".
La délégation italienne a donné l'explication de vote suivante : "La délégation italienne vote contre l'adoption de la position commune relative au règlement concernant la création d'un certificat complémentaire de protection pour les produits phytopharmaceutiques parce qu'elle estime que le considérant 13 s'étend au-delà du contenu de l'article 4 et que cette interprétation extensive ne peut s'appliquer également au règlement nu 1768/92 concernant la création d'un certificat complémentaire de protection pour les médicaments, qui a déjà été adopté et qui est en vigueur".
