I would like to call to mind, from recent history, the work on the chemicals legislation REACH, the elaboration of the services directive and the debates on the financial perspective, in which we constantly strove to set forward-looking priorities and managed to push them through, in tough negotiations with the Council and the Commission in some cases.
Je voudrais évoquer, récemment, les travaux concernant le règlement sur les substances chimiques REACH, l’élaboration de la directive sur les services et les débats dans le cadre des perspectives financières, au cours desquels nous nous sommes constamment efforcés d’orienter les priorités vers l’avenir, ce que l’on est parvenu à faire au prix d’âpres négociations avec le Conseil et la Commission dans certains cas.
