In order to avoid any disruption of trade, provisions to implement the Agreement in the form of an exchange of letters should be adopted and in particular the three derogations provided for in Regulations (EC) No 883/2001, (EC) No 1037/2001 and (EC) No 2303/2003 should remain in force until the date of application of Articles 4 and 9 of the Agreement on trade in wine but no later than three years from the date of entry into force of the Agreement in the form of an exchange of letters.

Article 24(2) and Article 26 shall apply until the date of application of Articles 4 and 9 of the Agreement between the European Community and the United States of America on trade in wine but no later than three years from the date of entry into force of the Agreement in the form of an exchange of letters between the European Community and the United States of America on matters related to trade in wine .
