My French is imperfect, so I'm not very good in it, but they were often looking for Canadians to work in various French-speaking countries particularly, because there are not that many countries, outside of France, that you can get to work there.

Since today is about francophone communities, it is very important for all provinces to come around the table, including the province of Quebec. Although Quebec has its own immigration policies in a number of aspects, it has certainly developed parameters for recognizing prior experience in universities and education systems based on the French system and on various French-speaking versions around the world. That addresses the problem that Mr. Diallo raised.
Puisqu'il est question aujourd'hui de communautés francophones, il est très important que toutes les provinces se retrouvent autour de la table, notamment la province de Québec qui, bien qu'elle ait, à bien des égards, ses propres politiques d'immigration, a justement développé un certain nombre de paramètres dans la reconnaissance des acquis dans les universités et les systèmes de formation issus du système français et de différentes adaptations francophones à travers le monde, ce qui touche au problème que M. The establishment of this kind of French-language network will improve health care delivery to the French-speaking community, and facilitate the recruitment of doctors in the various regions as it will enable them to network with other French-speaking teams of health care professionals in the province. This would also better satisfy constitutional requirements, and more specifically article 16.1 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, according to which, in New Brunswick, English and French do after all have equality of status.

The report that came out of the forum organized by Health Canada's advisory committee of minority francophone communities recommends the adoption of a comprehensive strategy to improve access to French-language health services; the setting up of provincial and territorial networks as well as a national administrative office to strengthen links between the various communities, health care professionals, educational institutions, health care facilities and French-language professional associations, and recommends that the government support the creation of a pan-Canadian consortium to train French-speaking health care professionals.
