That the Senate of Canada agrees that the unhappy remarks of an individual senator about Superior Court Justice, the Honourable Mr. Justice Ian Pitfield, were undesirable, unfounded and unparliamentary, and that such remarks do not reflect the opinion of the Senate of Canada; and also that the Senate agrees to express its regrets to the honourable justice in the following words:
Que le Sénat du Canada convienne que les observations malheureuses d'un sénateur particulier au sujet d'un juge de la Cour supérieure, l'honorable Ian Pitfield, étaient indésirables, sans fondement et antiparlementaires et qu'elles ne reflétaient pas l'opinion du Sénat du Canada; et que le Sénat convient d'exprimer à l'honorable juge ses regrets en ces termes:
