Considering the number of bills tabled previously by members of all parties; considering the election promises made by the Prime Minister and his Liberal colleagues regarding the introduction of such a measure; considering that all other political parties support such a proposal; considering that the unions are unanimous in their support for a tool including provisions that would allow whistle-blowing; also considering the number of government agencies that recommend this type of legislation and, finally, the urgent need for increased transparency and integrity in federal institutions, we should support Motion M-263.
Considérant le nombre de projets de loi proposés antérieurement par des députés de tous les partis; compte tenu des promesses électorales du premier ministre et de ses collègues libéraux en ce qui a trait à la présentation d'une telle mesure; compte tenu que les autres partis politiques sont en faveur d'un tel projet; compte tenu de l'unanimité des syndicats sur la promotion d'un outil renfermant des dispositions visant le droit à la dénonciation; compte tenu également du nombre d'organismes gouvernementaux qui recommandent une telle loi; et finalement, compte tenu du besoin urgent d'accroître la transparence et l'éthique dans les institutions fédérales, il nous faut appuyer la motion M-263.
