O Reino Unido participa na presente decisão, nos termos do artigo 5.o do Protocolo que integra o acervo de Schengen no âmbito da União Europeia, anexo ao Tratado UE e ao Tratado que institui a Comunidade Europeia, e do artigo 8.o, n.o 2, da Decisão 2000/365/CE do Conselho, de 29 de Maio de 2000, sobre o pedido do Reino Unido da Grã-Bretanha e da Irlanda do Norte para participar em algumas das disposições do acervo de Schengen
Ireland is taking part in this Decision in accordance with Article 5 of the Protocol integrating the Schengen acquis into the framework of the European Union annexed to the EU Treaty and to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and Article 6(2) of Council Decision 2002/192/EC of 28 February 2002 concerning Ireland's request to take part in some of the provisions of the Schengen acquis
