During its work on two joint recommendations the BALTFISH consulted the Baltic Sea Advisory Council (BSAC) and other stakeholders.
Tijdens zijn werkzaamheden met betrekking tot twee gezamenlijke aanbevelingen heeft BALTFISH de adviesraad voor de Oostzee (BSAC – Baltic Sea Advisory Council) en andere belanghebbenden geraadpleegd.

On 31 May 2017 those Member States submitted a joint recommendation to the Commission, after consulting the Baltic Sea Advisory Council and obtaining scientific contribution from relevant scientific bodies.
Nadat de betrokken wetenschappelijke instanties een wetenschappelijke bijdrage hadden geleverd, hebben die lidstaten op 31 mei 2017, na overleg met de adviesraad voor de Oostzee, bij de Commissie een gezamenlijke aanbeveling ingediend.

For the purpose of implementing the regionalised approach the Member States around the Baltic Sea established a regional Baltic Sea Fisheries Forum (BALTFISH).
Met het oog op de uitvoering van de geregionaliseerde aanpak hebben de lidstaten rond de Oostzee een regionaal forum voor de visserij in de Oostzee (BALTFISH) opgericht.

The convention, which was signed in March 1974 by all the states bordering the Baltic Sea (Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia), aims to reduce pollution of the Baltic Sea area caused by discharges through rivers, estuaries, outfalls and pipelines, dumping and shipping operations as well as through airborne pollutants.
Het verdrag, dat in maart 1974 door alle staten aan de Oostzee (Denemarken, Duitsland, Zweden, Estland, Finland, Letland, Litouwen, Polen en Rusland) werd ondertekend, heeft tot doel vervuiling van het Oostzeegebied door lozingen in rivieren, estuaria, afvoerinstallaties en pijpleidingen, dumping en scheepvaartactiviteiten en door luchtvervuiling te verminderen.

Regionale organisaties, zoals de Raad van Oostzeestaten (CBSS), de Parlementaire Conferentie van het Oostzeegebied en het Subregionale Samenwerkingsverband van de Oostzeestaten, werken nauwer samen en hebben een verbeterde governance met betrekking tot maritieme kwesties.

BONUS aims to support scientific development and innovation by providing the necessary legal and organisational framework for trans-national cooperation between the Baltic Sea States on environmental research in the Baltic Sea region.
BONUS heeft tot doel wetenschappelijke ontwikkeling en innovatie te bevorderen door de vaststelling van het noodzakelijke juridische en organisatorische kader voor transnationale samenwerking tussen de Oostzeestaten op het gebied van milieuonderzoek in het Oostzeegebied.

The Baltic Sea Customs Conference (BSCC) is an initiative taken within the framework of the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBS).
