The Revision Committee set up in accordance with point (c) of Article 13(1) of the COTIF Convention, at its 25th session due to take place from 25 to 27 June 2014, is expected to decide upon certain amendments to the COTIF Convention as well as to certain Appendices thereto, namely Appendices B (Uniform Rules concerning the Contract of International Carriage of Goods by Rail — CIM), D (Uniform Rules concerning Contracts of Use of Vehicles in International Rail Traffic — CUV), E (Uniform Rules concerning the Contract of Use of Infrastructure in International Rail Traffic — CUI), F (Uniform Rules concerning the Validation of Technical Standards and the Adoption of Uniform Technical Prescriptions applicable to Railway Material intended to be used in International Traffic — APTU) and G (Uniform Rules concerning the Technical Admission of Railway Material used in International Traffic — ATMF).
De Herzieningscommissie, die is opgericht overeenkomstig artikel 13, lid 1, onder c), van het COTIF-verdrag, zal tijdens haar 25e zitting, die zou moeten plaatsvinden van 25 tot en met 27 juni 2014, wellicht een besluit nemen over bepaalde amendementen op het COTIF-verdrag en bepaalde aanhangsels daarvan, met name aanhangsels B (Uniforme Regelen betreffende de overeenkomst van internationaal spoorwegvervoer van goederen — CIM), D (Uniforme Regelen betreffende de overeenkomsten inzake het gebruik van voertuigen in het internationale spoorwegverkeer — CUV), E (Uniforme Regelen betreffende de overeenkomst inzake het gebruik van de infrastructuur bij internationaal spoorwegvervoer — CUI), F (Uniforme Regelen betreffende de verbindendverklaring van technische normen en de aanneming van uniforme technische voorschriften die van toepassing zijn op spoorwegmaterieel bestemd voor gebruik in internationaal verkeer — APTU), en G (Uniforme Regelen betreffende de technische toelating van spoorwegmaterieel dat wordt gebruikt in internationaal verkeer — ATMF).

If, however, the goods are to move under the T2 procedure in accordance with the provisions of Article 2(3)(b) of the Convention, the office of departure shall indicate on sheet 3 of the CIM consignment note that the goods to which the note refers are carried under the T2 procedure. In this case, the box reserved for customs use shall be endorsed clearly with the “T2” or “T2F” symbol, as appropriate, the stamp of the customs office of departure and the signature of the responsible official.
Worden de goederen evenwel, overeenkomstig artikel 2, lid 3, onder b), van de overeenkomst, met toepassing van de T2-regeling vervoerd, dan vermeldt het kantoor van vertrek dit op exemplaar 3 van de bijbehorende vrachtbrief CIM; te dien einde worden op duidelijk zichtbare wijze het teken „T2” of „T2F”, naargelang van het geval, het stempel van het kantoor van vertrek en de handtekening van de bevoegde ambtenaar in het voor de douane bestemde vak aangebracht.
