In May 2008 the European Commission published its proposal to replace the current CPD by a new Regulation, the CPR, aimed at removing all remaining regulatory and technical obstacles to the free circulation of construction products in the EU. The CPR does not alter the current philosophy and the principal elements of the CPD.
