– (IT) Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, we opposed the proposal for a directive in committee because the rapporteur had radically changed the Commission’s proposal in a restrictive way by expanding its scope; proposing the gradual phase-out of a further 33 substances in Annex III, including brominated and chlorinated flame retardants, as well as PVC and its additives; limiting the scope for exemptions and the time taken to adjust; and introducing restrictive regulations for nanomaterials.
– (IT) Mevrouw de Voorzitter, dames en heren, wij hebben ons in de commissie tegen deze ontwerprichtlijn uitgesproken, daar de rapporteur het Commissievoorstel in negatieve zin radicaal had gewijzigd door de werkingssfeer te verbreden en voor te stellen geleidelijk aan nog eens 33 andere stoffen te elimineren die aan bijlage III moesten worden toegevoegd. Daaronder waren brandvertragers, broom- en chloorhoudende stoffen en PVC en PVC-additieven.
