Council Directive 2009/13/EC of 16 February 2009, implementing the Agreement concluded by the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF), has already aligned European legislation with the relevant provisions of Titles I, II, III and IV of the MLC.
Door Richtlijn 2009/13/EG van 16 februari 2009, die voorziet in de tenuitvoerlegging van de overeenkomst tussen de Associatie van reders van de Europese Gemeenschap (ECSA) en de Europese Federatie van vervoerswerknemers (ETF), is de Europese wetgeving al op de bepalingen van Titel I, II, III en IV van het MLC afgestemd.

The EU also adopted Council Directive 2009/13/EC of 16 February 2009, implementing the Agreement concluded by the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) on the MLC, this Agreement constitutes an outstanding achievement of the sectoral social dialogue.

Council Directive 1999/63/EC of 21 June 1999 concerning the Agreement on the organisation of working time of seafarers concluded by the European Community Shipowners’ Association (ECSA) and the Federation of Transport Workers’ Unions in the European Union (FST) containing the European Agreement on the organisation of working time of seafarers in its Annex should therefore be amended accordingly.
Richtlijn 1999/63/EG van de Raad van 21 juni 1999 inzake de overeenkomst betreffende de organisatie van de arbeidstijd van zeevarenden, gesloten door de Associatie van reders van de Europese Gemeenschap (ECSA) en de Federatie van de bonden voor het vervoerspersoneel in de Europese Unie (FST) , in de bijlage waarbij de overeenkomst betreffende de organisatie van de arbeidstijd van zeevarenden is opgenomen, dient derhalve dienovereenkomstig gewijzigd te worden.

The Agreement amends the European Agreement on the organisation of working time of seafarers concluded in Brussels on 30 September 1998 by the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and the Federation of Transport Workers’ Unions in the European Union (FST).
