Regulation (EU) No 510/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 May 2011 setting emission performance standards for new light commercial vehicles as part of the Union’s integrated approach to reduce CO emissions from light-duty vehicles , lays down the obligation to set up a procedure to obtain representative values of CO emissions, fuel efficiency and mass of completed vehicles while ensuring that the manufacturer of the base vehicle has timely access to the mass and to the specific emissions of CO of the completed vehicle.

A World Trade Organisation (WTO) panel today declared as illegal the Russian anti-dumping duties that hinder exports of Italian and German light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Unlike heavy duty vehicles, light commercial vehicles are not currently equipped with speed limitation devices. Speed limiters are a very cost-effective way to reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and contribute to road safety.
