IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

The lending operations covered by the Fund relate to three different instruments which benefit from a guarantee from the European Union budget: guarantees to the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the loans or loan guarantees to operations in third countries, Euratom lending to third countries and EU Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) loans to third countries.

Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) is being provided, in the form of loans and/or non-reimbursable grants, to support EU candidate, potential candidate and neighbourhood countries to resolve short-term balance-of-payments problems, to stabilise public finances and to encourage structural reform implementation.
Macrofinanciële bijstand (MFB) wordt in de vorm van leningen en/of giften verleend om kandidaat-lidstaten, potentiële kandidaat-lidstaten en nabuurschapslanden van de EU te helpen bij het oplossen van hun betalingsbalansproblemen op korte termijn en het stabiliseren van hun overheidsfinanciën en aan te zetten tot structurele hervormingen.

3.The detailed financial terms of the Union's macro-financial assistance shall be laid down in a Loan Agreement to be concluded between the Commission and the Tunisian authorities.
