2. dringt er bij de Commissie op aan de aftrap te geven voor een brede raadpleging van betrokkenen over de kosten, doeltreffendheid en haalbaarheid van de invoering op communautair niveau van een vrijwillig systeem van etikettering in brailleschrift, dat in ieder geval informatie over het soort product en de uiterste gebruiksdatum zou moeten omvatten, om de toegang van slechtzienden tot deze informatie te vergemakkelijken; omdat niet alle blinde personen braille kunnen lezen moet tijdens de voorgestelde raadpleging ook worden gezocht naar alternatieve methoden om de informatie op de verpakking toegankelijker te maken;
