Following the tradition of Oscar Roty's sower created in 1898, the coin depicts a modern sower, re-designed by L. Jorio, surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union against a background of diagonal lines; to the left are horizontal lines and the year, to the right, vertical lines and the initials of the French Republic (RF), and at the bottom, the mintmarks of the Paris mint.
In de lijn van de traditie van de uit 1898 daterende Zaaister van Oscar Roty stelt de munt een door de twaalf sterren van de Europese Unie omringde, door L. Jorio gemoderniseerde Zaaister voor tegen een achtergrond van schuin verlopende stralen; links horizontale lijnen en het jaartal, rechts verticale lijnen en de beginletters van de Franse Republiek (RF), onderaan de tekens van de Parijse Munt.
