P. whereas the market does not fully remunerate the positive social and environmental externalities associated with small-scale fishing; whereas society as a whole does not recognise or remunerate the activities associated with fishing which constitute the sector’s multifunctional aspect and produce public goods by, inter alia, stimulating the coastline, gastronomy, museology and recreational angling, to the benefit of society as a whole;
P. overwegende dat de markt de positieve sociale en milieueffecten van de kleinschalige visserij onvoldoende beloont; overwegende dat de samenleving als dusdanig erkenning noch beloning biedt voor de met de sector verband houdende activiteiten, ofschoon daarmee de multifunctionaliteit van de sector tot uiting komt en collectieve goederen worden geproduceerd, via onder meer de stimulering van de kuststrook, de gastronomie, de museumsector en de hengelsport, ten bate van de hele samenleving;
