1a. The rules concerning sulphur dioxide content, maximum volatile acid content and authorised oenological practices and processes, and the rules concerning the production of liqueur wine, sparkling wine and quality sparkling wine, shall be established by the Commission, in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 45.
1 bis. De voorschriften voor het gehalte van zwaveldioxide, het maximumgehalte aan vluchtige zuren en de geoorloofde oenologische procédés en behandelingen, evenals de voorschriften voor de productie van likeurwijnen, mousserende wijnen en mousserende kwaliteitswijnen worden door de Commissie vastgesteld volgens de procedure bepaald in artikel 45.

In order to permit the import and marketing of Canadian wines with the right to the designation "Icewine" with labels bearing wordings used for those wines, the above derogations are required for those wines with regard to the possibility of using on the label the name of a vine variety, the year of harvest and details regarding superior quality and the sulphur dioxide content, the volatile acid content, the actual alcoholic strength and the total alcoholic strength by volume.
