2. As the section head responsible I pushed for the Austrian Court of Auditors to take a more rigorous stance when auditing the financial statements of the federal authorities and introduced new measures in the area of financial audits, in keeping with international auditing standards (ISSAI and ISA). This involved, in particular, the introduction of tests of controls for certain budget accounting systems, such as financing processes or payroll accounting.

Als diensthoofd heb ik me hard gemaakt voor een sterkere positie van de Oostenrijkse Rekenkamer bij de controle van de rekeningen van de bond en het voortouw genomen voor nieuwe maatregelen op het gebied van de financiële audits (onder toepassing van de internationale normen (ISSAI en ISA) voor controles van rekeningen. Het betreft in concreto de introductie van functiecontroles voor bepaalde begrotingsverrekeningsystemen, zoals financieringsprocessen en personeelverrekening.

8. Takes note of the audits carried out by the Internal Audit Service (IAS), in particular its annual report, and of the follow up of the IAS reviews of management and control system for missions and payroll areas, which concluded that all the actions contained in the reviews had been implemented; notes that the audit of the processing of the payment requests has identified several issues to be addressed by the management, and invites the Ombudsman to follow that up in his next Annual Activity Report;
8. neemt kennis van de controles die zijn uitgevoerd door de dienst Interne audit (IAS), alsmede van het jaarlijkse verslag van deze dienst, en van de follow-up van de door de IAS verrichte controles van het beheers- en controlesysteem voor de sectoren dienstreizen en salarisadministratie, waarbij werd geconcludeerd dat alle acties waarop de controles betrekking hadden, waren uitgevoerd; merkt op dat uit de controle van de verwerking van de verzoeken om betaling diverse kwesties naar voren zijn gekomen die door het management moeten worden aangepakt en verzoekt de Ombudsman hierop terug te komen in zijn volgende jaarlijkse activiteitenverslag;
