In the context of this Directive, agricultural and forestry tractors are defined as any motor vehicle fitted with wheels or caterpillar tracks, having at least two axles, the main function of which lies in its tractive power and which is specially designed to tow, push, carry or power certain tools, machinery or trailers intended for agricultural or forestry use.
Onder trekker (landbouw- of bosbouwtrekker) wordt in deze richtlijn verstaan ieder motorvoertuig op wielen of rupsbanden met ten minste twee assen, voornamelijk bestemd voor tractiedoeleinden en in het bijzonder ontworpen voor het trekken, duwen, dragen of in beweging brengen van bepaalde werktuigen, machines of aanhangwagens die voor gebruik in de land- of bosbouw zijn bestemd.
