TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

The Council adopted a decision on the EU position on Decision No 1/2010 of the Joint Veterinary Committee set up by the agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products regarding the amendment of annex 11 to the agreement (15674/10).
De Raad heeft een besluit aangenomen betreffende het standpunt dat door de Europese Unie moet worden ingenomen in het Gemengd Veterinair Comité ten aanzien van de wijziging van bijlage 11 bij de Overeenkomst tussen de Europese Gemeenschap en de Zwitserse Bondsstaat inzake de handel in landbouwproducten (15674/10).

The Council is required to conclude the Agreement on behalf of the European Community, and Parliament (lead committee: Committee on International Trade) is consulted (It should be noted that, while INTA is the lead committee on trade matters, AFET is the competent committee on the PCA). While the Interim Agreement is more restrictive in scope than the PCA, it also contains a clause allowing for suspension in cases of breaches of respect for democracy or human rights.

Takes the view that the proposed exercise should focus first and foremost on the very aims of the multilateral trade system, to ensure that they are mutually supportive and consistent with the action being taken by other international organisations; considers in particular that the coordination of WTO activities with those of the International Labour Organisation ( ILO), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Kyoto programme on renewable energy, should be strengthened, in order to ensure greater consistency in the decision-making process of those organisations; in this connection, believes that the ILO should be granted observer status and that a committee on trade and decent employment should be set up modelled on the Committee on Trade and Environment;
7. is van mening dat de voorgestelde actie in de eerste plaats gericht zou moeten zijn op de doeleinden van het multilaterale handelssysteem zelf en dat daarbij gelet moet worden op de wederzijdse ondersteuning van en samenhang met de acties van de andere internationale organisaties; is van mening dat met name een versterking van de coördinatie tussen de activiteiten van de WTO en die van de IAO, de Voedsel- en Landbouworganisatie van de Verenigde Naties (FAO), het UNEP, het Ontwikkelingsprogramma van de Verenigde Naties (UNDP), de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO), de Conferentie van de Verenigde Naties inzake handel en ontwikkeling (UNCTAD) en het Kyoto-programma voor hernieuwbare energie noodzakelijk is teneinde een grotere samenhang in het besluitvormingsproces van deze organisaties te kunnen waarborgen; is van mening dat in dit kader de status van waarnemer moet worden toegekend aan de IAO en stelt voor dat er een Commissie voor handel en fatsoenlijke werkgelegenheid worden opgericht bij de WTO naar het model van de Commissie voor handel en milieu;

As a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, I would like to draw attention to some aspects of liberalisation of the trade in agricultural products with the EUROMED countries.
Als lid van de Commissie landbouw en plattelandsontwikkeling van het Europees Parlement wil ik de aandacht vestigen op enkele aspecten die verband houden met de handel in landbouwproducten met de Euromed-landen.

Regulation 7/2005 has been superseded by a decision of the EU-Switzerland joint committee for agriculture incorporating, into the EU/ Switzerland agreement on trade in agricultural products provisions on the tariff quota for products of CN code 0705 21 00.
Verordening 7/2005 komt te vervallen op grond van het besluit van het Gemengd Landbouwcomité EU - Zwitserland dat de bepalingen betreffende het tariefcontingent voor de producten van CN-code 0705 21 00 worden opgenomen in de Overeenkomst tussen de Europese Gemeenschap en de Zwitserse Bondsstaat inzake de handel in landbouwproducten.

The Council unanimously adopted a Decision on the position to be adopted by the Community on Decision No 1/2005 of the Joint Veterinary Committee set up under the EU/Switzerland agreement on trade in agricultural products (14026/05).
De Raad nam met eenparigheid van stemmen een besluit aan betreffende het door de Gemeenschap in te nemen standpunt over Besluit nr. 1/2005 van het Gemengd Veterinair Comité, ingesteld bij de Overeenkomst tussen de Europese Gemeenschap en de Zwitserse Bondsstaat inzake de handel in landbouwproducten (14026/05).

The Council adopted a Decision concerning the Community position on the adoption of the Rules of Procedure of the Joint Veterinary Committee set up by the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products (doc. 9108/03).
De Raad heeft een besluit aangenomen inzake het standpunt van de Gemeenschap betreffende het reglement van orde van het Gemengd Veterinair Comité dat is opgericht bij de Overeenkomst tussen de Europese Gemeenschap en de Zwitserse Bondstaat inzake de handel in landbouwproducten (doc. 9108/03).

With this in mind, and given the Baltic countries' difficult basic commercial conditions, the new concessions are aimed at developing the Community's agricultural trade with these countries, and particularly Estonia, given that it has liberalized its trade, including trade in agricultural products.
