7. maakt zich zorgen over recente ontwikkelingen die de mediavrijheid en het mediapluralisme zouden kunnen ondermijnen; verzoekt de autoriteiten met klem al het nodige te doen om deze essentiële aspecten van een democratische samenleving te verdedigen en af te zien van pogingen om direct of indirect invloed uit te oefenen op de inhoud van de berichtgeving in de nationale media; onderstreept dat een herziening van de wetgeving inzake de mediasector dringend noodzakelijk is, en is daarom verheugd over een recent voorstel voor de invoering van een publiek omroepbestel in Oekraïne; is ingenomen met de publiek gedane toezegging van de Oekraïense autoriteiten dat het wettelijke kader dat voor de oprichting van een publieke omroep nodig is, aan het eind van het jaar voltooid is; betreurt dat twee onafhankelijke tv-stations, TVi en TV5, niet langer op een aantal van de door hen gebruikte frequenties mogen uitzenden; dringt er bij de autoriteiten op aan ervoor te zorgen dat rechtszaken niet resulteren in de selectieve intrekking van uitzendfrequenties en alle besluiten of benoemingen die tot belangenverstrengelingen zouden kunnen leiden, opnieuw tegen het licht te houden;

At the same time as data are supplied on hourly concentrations in accordance with Article 11(1) of Directive 96/62/EC, Member States shall report to the Commission, for those selected measuring stations, the number of ten-minute concentrations which have exceeded 500 μg/m3, the number of days within the calendar year on which that occurred, the number of those days on which hourly concentrations of sulphur dioxide simultaneously exceeded 350 μg/m3 and the maximum ten-minute concentration recorded.
Gelijktijdig met de gegevens over de uurconcentraties, die overeenkomstig artikel 11, punt 1, van Richtlijn 96/62/EG worden verstrekt, rapporteren de lidstaten aan de Commissie voor deze geselecteerde meetstations het aantal tienminutenconcentraties van meer dan 500 μg/m3, het aantal dagen waarop die grens in het kalenderjaar werd overschreden, het aantal dagen waarop tegelijkertijd de uurconcentraties zwaveldioxide 350 μg/m3 werden overschreden, en de hoogste geregistreerde tienminutenconcentratie.
