109. Notes that at its meeting of 22 October 2007, the Bureau decided not to comply with a recommendation by the European Ombudsman (complaint 655/2006/(SAB)ID) that Parliament should give access to the list of members of the voluntary pension scheme, notwithstanding a positive opinion of the European Data Protection Supervisor; calls on the Bureau to reconsider its position and to publish the list in accordance with the advice of Parliament's Legal Service and in line with the transparency policy of the Union so as to make public all final beneficiaries of European funding;
109. wijst op het feit dat het Bureau tijdens zijn vergadering van 22 oktober 2007 besloten heeft niet in te gaan op een aanbeveling van de Europese Ombudsman (klacht 655/2006/(SAB)ID) dat het Parlement toegang moet verschaffen tot de lijst van leden van het vrijwillig pensioenfonds, niettegenstaande een positief advies van de Europese Toezichthouder voor gegevensbescherming; verzoekt het Bureau zijn standpunt te heroverwegen en de lijst te publiceren, overeenkomstig het advies van de Juridische Dienst van het Parlement en in overeenstemming met het transparantiebeleid van de Unie om alle eindbegunstigden van Europese financiering bekend te maken;

60. Points out that the Bureau's decision to overrule the withholding of approval was taken on the basis of the advice of Parliament's Legal Service containing an assessment of the relevant provisions of national and Community law; asks, nevertheless, the Secretary-General to ensure that on the occasion of the next renewal of the Strasbourg security contract the outgoing contractor provides the necessary information to potential successors at the appropriate stage in the tender procedure;
60. wijst erop dat het besluit van het Bureau om de visumweigering terzijde te stellen, genomen werd op grond van het advies van de Juridische Dienst van het Parlement, waarin een beoordeling was opgenomen van de desbetreffende bepalingen van de nationale wetgeving en het Gemeenschapsrecht; verzoekt niettemin de secretaris-generaal ervoor te zorgen dat bij de volgende vernieuwing van de beveiligingsovereenkomst in Straatsburg de vertrekkende uitvoerder in de daartoe geëigende fase van de aanbestedingsprocedure de nodige informatie verstrekt aan de eventuele opvolgers;

Welcomes the Bureau's proposal to enter a reserve for property investments in Article 209 ("Provisional appropriation to cover the institution's property investments”) for the accelerated repayment of buildings, as this will continue to produce major savings for the taxpayer; can agree, as a financially sound measure, to accelerated funding of the Louise Weiss Building in Strasbourg before the full impact of enlargement-related expenditure in Parliament's section of the budget takes effect, as advice from Parliament's Legal Service confirms that these arrangements will not pre-empt any future political decisions, nor will it have any effect on the current legal situation;
9. is verheugd over het voorstel van het Bureau om onder artikel 209 ("Overige uitgaven in verband met de gebouwen”) een reserve voor investeringen in onroerende goederen op te nemen om gebouwen sneller te kunnen afbetalen, hetgeen aanzienlijke besparingen voor de belastingbetaler zal blijven opleveren; kan instemmen als een financieel gezonde maatregel, met versnelde financiering van het Louise Weiss-gebouw in Straatsburg nog voor alle uitgaven met betrekking tot de uitbreiding volledig voelbaar zijn in zijn begroting, aangezien volgens de adviezen van zijn Juridische Dienst hiermee niet wordt vooruitgelopen op toekomstige politieke besluiten en dit evenmin invloed zal hebben op de huidige juridische situatie;
