1. Liquefied gas installations consist essentially of a supply unit comprising one or more gas receptacles, and of one or more pressure regulators, a distribution system and a number of gas-consuming appliances.

9. For passenger vessels with a length not exceeding 45 m the following shall not apply: Article 15.01(2)(e), when the liquefied gas installations are fitted with appropriate alarm systems for CO concentrations posing a health risk and for potentially explosive mixtures of gas and air.

For standards not yet adopted , the work should be based on: (i) ISO TC67/WG10 Standardisation for installations and equipment for liquefied natural gas, and in particular the draft guidelines for systems and installations for supply of LNG as fuel to ships (ISO/DTS 18683) and ii) ISO/TC 252 for CNG and L-CNG refuelling for motor vehicles.

(20a) For engines adapted for marine use, where the source engine is already type-approved in accordance with Directive 97/68/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 1997 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to measures against the emission of gaseous and particulate pollutants from internal combustion engines to be installed in non-road mobile machinery or Directive 2005/55/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the measures to be taken against the emission of gaseous and particulate pollutants from compression-ignition engines for use in vehicles, and the emission of gaseous pollutants from positive-ignition engines fuelled with natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas for use in vehicles, manufacturers should be able to rely on the proof of conformity issued by the original engine manufacturer where those adaptations have not altered exhaust emission characteristics.

Calls on the Commission to implement the trans-European energy networks and establish a priority interconnection plan, in view of the recently amended decision laying down the guidelines for trans European energy transmission networks, without neglecting the liquefied natural gas reception regasification infrastructure and storage facilities; in addition, believes that all energy sources including renewables should be given fair and non-discriminatory access to the power grids so as to further the integration of markets and ensure security of supply; considers that offshore wind power installations should be integrated first into a regional grid and ultimately into the trans-European energy network;
46. vraagt de Commissie de trans-Europese energienetwerken tot stand te brengen en een prioritair interconnectieplan op te stellen in het licht van het recente bijgewerkte besluit waarin de richtsnoeren zijn vastgelegd voor trans-Europese netten voor energietransmissie, zonder de infrastructuur en opslagfaciliteiten voor de hervergassing van vloeibaar aardgas uit het oog te verliezen; is voorts van mening dat alle energiebronnen, inclusief hernieuwbare energiebronnen, een eerlijke en niet-discriminerende toegang tot elektriciteitsnetten moeten krijgen ten einde de integratie van de markten te bevorderen en de continuïteit van de energievoorziening te waarborgen; is van mening dat windenergie-installaties voor de kust eerst moeten worden geïntegreerd in een regionaal elektriciteitsnet en uiteindelijk in het trans-Europees energienetwerk;

8.04.5. The inscription "liquefied gas installation" and the "no smoking" symbol as described in 6.05.9 must be affixed to the outer wall of the cupboard.
