These systems include: the Union maritime information and exchange system, SafeSeaNet, providing integrated maritime services[8] inter alia for traffic monitoring (situational awareness) and to ensure the implementation of EU legislation, hosted by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and managed by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (MOVE) together with EU/EEA Member States in the High Level Steering Group[9]; the Common Emergency Communication and Information System (CECIS) facilitating communication during maritime incidents and disasters managed by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO); the Vessel Monitoring System managed by Member States, the Data Exchange Highway (DEH) and the Fisheries Language for Universal eXchange (FLUX), managed by the Commission's Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs (MARE), supporting the Common Fisheries Policy; the Maritime Surveillance network (MARSUR) managed by the European Defence Agency (EDA) supporting the Common Foreign and Security Policy; the European Border Surveillance System (EUROSUR) improving the situational awareness and reaction capability of Member States and of the EU Border Agency (FRONTEX) at the external borders as well as the Secure Information Exchange Network Application (SIENA), the information exchange system of EUROPOL, and the Joint Research Centre's Blue Hub platform supporting EU RD in maritime surveillance and situational awareness and experimenting with new data sources previously untapped.

The European Job Mobility Information Portal [35] was unveiled in September 2003, based on an enhanced version of the existing EURES site with improved contents and functionalities, and integrating the learning opportunities site PLOTEUS, launched on 5 March 2003 [36] (Ploteus gives structured access to information on education and training at all levels and in all EU/EEA and candidate countries with information accessible in all EU languages and provided by the network of National Resource Centres for Vocational Guidance - NRCVG). The Job Mobility Portal provides links to other relevant sites, including the Researchers' Mobility web portal.

Calls for more internal information to be made available about sustainable mobility within and around the EP buildings (posters, monitors showing train services at the Luxembourg station, information on collective/public transport) and invites the Bureau to set up a professional, visible, continuous and interactive mobility management desk centre, preferably as part of already existing services, where everyone can find out about sustainable mobility;
114. dringt aan op terbeschikkingstelling van meer interne informatie binnen en in de omgeving van de EP-gebouwen over duurzame mobiliteit (affiches, beeldschermen treinverbindingen Luxemburg-station, informatie over collectief/openbaar vervoer) en verzoekt het Bureau, bij voorkeur als onderdeel van reeds bestaande diensten, een professioneel, zichtbaar, permanent en interactief desk-center voor mobiliteitsmanagement in te richten, waar iedereen zich kan laten voorlichten over meer duurzame mobiliteit;
