The CGIAR has been providing financial support for 18 international agricultural research centres since 1990. The 1993 Community contribution to the CGIAR centres covers: - the six original centres: CIAT, CIMMYT, CIP, ICRISAT, IRRI and ISNAR; - three new ones: IIMI (since 1992), justified by the scale of financing earmarked under the ALA programme for irrigation in Asia; ICLARM: for projects recently financed in the Philippines (Manila) to help impoverished fishermen; CIFOR: because of the growing priority given by t

COSTA RICA Geïntegreerd project voor 5 500 000 ECU plattelandsontwikkeling in GIFT Osa-Golfito Het project verleent steun op het gebied van de produktie (intensifiëring, diversificatie en omschakeling van de produktie), de sociale en produktieve infrastructuur (met name vitale afwateringswerken, plattelandswegen, huisvesting, gezondheidszorg en onderwijs), en opleiding en organisatie van begunstigden in basisorganisaties en een secundaire organisatie, waarmee reeds tijdens de eerste fase werd aangevangen.
