Complaints received from engineers also indicate that the Directive is being misapplied: the Greek authorities are demanding a certificate of academic equivalence for professional education diplomas for the purposes of recruitment and determining conditions of employment in the civil service and for the registration of migrant professionals with the competent professional body, the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE).
Uit klachten van ingenieurs blijkt voorts dat de richtlijn onjuist wordt toegepast. De Griekse autoriteiten eisen namelijk een academische gelijkwaardigheid van de beroepsopleidingstitels voor de aanwerving van personen in overheidsdienst en de vaststelling van hun arbeidsvoorwaarden, en voor de inschrijving van migrerende ingenieurs bij de desbetreffende orde, de Griekse ingenieurskamer (TEE).
