TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

One of the research areas targeted by this key action is the effective and efficient delivery of health and social care services to older people, including comparative research on the financing of long-term care and pensions. Furthermore, the 4th and 5th FPs have supported the development of electronic tools for clinical trial management and remote data entry, for literature review and guideline development as well as for quality assurance. Research on the adaptation of these products to the special needs of the elderly are being taken up in the 5th Framework Programme.
In het kader van het vijfde kaderprogramma voor onderzoek en ontwikkeling zijn onderzoeksprojecten ontwikkeld met betrekking tot de aanpassing van deze instrumenten aan de specifieke behoeften van de bejaarden.

These strategies for preventing and combating situations of homelessness are based not only on improving the social emergency mechanisms, providing more temporary accommodation, setting up multidisciplinary mobile outreach teams, networking between public authorities, health care and psychiatric institutions, emergency shelter institutions and social housing agencies, co-operation with NGOs and a guaranteed rehousing capacity by the public authorities, but also on sustained efforts by professionals and volunteers to help with social integration and re-integration.

Special categories of personal data which merit higher protection should be processed for health-related purposes only where necessary to achieve those purposes for the benefit of natural persons and society as a whole, in particular in the context of the management of health or social care services and systems, including processing by the management and central national health authorities of such data for the purpose of quality control, management information and the general national and local supervision of the health or social care system, and ensuring continuity of health or social care and cross-border healthcare or health security, monitoring and alert purposes, or for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes, based on Union or Member State law which has to meet an objective of public interest, as well as for studies conducted in the public interest in the area of public health.

These standards shall ensure duty of care and cover notably the responsibilities of the sending and hosting organisations, the supervision, ongoing training and management of the volunteers, minimum requirements on the coverage of subsistence, accommodation and other relevant expenses, insurance coverage, security procedures and other relevant elements, such as the provision of meals and accommodation, transport from the international airport to the place of work, medical, travel and cancellation insurance, social security coverage during the service and 24-hour support and assistance for the team both on-site and at headquarters, as well as coverage of other costs depending the country of action, the type of humanitarian aid and the terms under which the volunteer and/or the hosting or sending organisation may cancel.

Deze normen moeten de zorgplicht waarborgen en hebben met name betrekking op de verantwoordelijkheden van de organisaties die vrijwilligers uitzenden en ontvangen, het toezicht op en de permanente scholing en begeleiding van vrijwilligers, minimumeisen wat betreft de kosten van levensonderhoud, huisvesting en andere relevante uitgaven, verzekeringen, veiligheidsprocedures en andere relevante elementen, zoals de kosten van maaltijden en huisvesting, vervoer van de internationale luchthaven van aankomst naar de plaats van uitzending, verzekering (in verband met ziektekosten, reizen en annulering), socialezekerheidsdekking tijdens de uitzending, ondersteuning 24 uur per dag van de ploeg ter plaatse en van het hoofdkantoor, en andere kosten afhankelijk van de locatie van de actie, de soort humanitaire hulp en de annuleringsvoorwaarden voor de vrijwilliger en/of de uitzendende of ontvangende organisatie.

Calls on Member States to ensure continued patient access in primary and secondary care to high quality interdisciplinary teams, diabetes treatments and technologies, including e-health technologies, and to support patients in obtaining and sustaining the skills and understanding needed to enable competent life-long self management;
