EARLY-ACS onderzoek EARLY-ACS (Early Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa Inhibition in Non-ST-segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome) was een onderzoek met vroegtijdig routinematig eptifibatide versus placebo (met uitgesteld tijdelijk gebruik van eptifibatide in de catheterisatieruimte) gebruikt in combinatie met een antitrombosebehandeling (ASA, UFH, bivalirudine, fondaparinux of laag moleculair-gewicht heparine) bij patiënten met een hoog-risico NSTE ACS. Patiënten dienden een invasief beleid te ondergaan ter verdere behandeling nadat ze gedurende 12 tot 96 uur studiemedicatie hadden gekregen.

La prescription d’anti-thrombotiques en prophylaxie tels que les héparines de bas poids moléculaire ou la warfarine, est recommandée.
Profylactische antitrombotica, zoals heparines met een laag moleculair gewicht of warfarine, dienen te worden aanbevolen.

Comme tout autre agent antiplaquettaire, le clopidogrel doit être utilisé avec prudence chez les patients susceptibles de présenter un risque accru d'hémorragie suite à un traumatisme, une opération chirurgicale ou d'autres affections pathologiques ainsi que chez les patients qui reçoivent un traitement par ASA, héparine, inhibiteurs de la glycoprotéine IIb/IIIa ou anti-inflammatoires non stéroïdiens, dont les inhibiteurs de la Cox-2.
Net zoals met andere plaatjesaggregatieremmers is voorzichtigheid geboden bij gebruik van clopidogrel bij patiënten die een risico lopen op een sterkere bloeding bij een trauma, heelkunde of andere pathologische omstandigheden, en bij patiënten die een behandeling krijgen met ASZ, heparine, glycoproteïne IIb/IIIA-remmers of niet-steroïdale ontstekingsremmende middelen met inbegrip van Cox-2-remmers.
