Il ressort d’une étude de 2004 que le taux de vaccination des travailleurs de la santé belges est parmi les plus élevés d’Europe (85%) (Source : Vranckx R, Jacques P, De Schryver A, Moens G, Hepatitis B vaccination coverage in Belgian Health Care Workers, Infection 32, n°5, 2004).
Uit een studie van 2004 blijkt dat de vaccinatiegraad van de Belgische gezondheidswerkers tot de hoogste van Europa behoort (85%) (Bron: Vranckx R, Jacques P, De Schryver A, Moens G, Hepatitis B vaccination coverage in Belgian Health Care Workers, Infection 32, n°5, 2004).

Pendant le pré-congres qui a été organisé dans le cadre de cette étude, suite au symposium de l’IADH, la définition pour les personnes à besoins particuliers a été présentée (spécifiquement pour cette mission) par les personnes présentent dans les groupes de discussion: “People who cannot take care of their own (oral) health because of mental, physical or medical condition, irrespective of age” ou en français “Personnes qui ne peuvent pas s’occuper de leur propre santé (bucco-dentaire) à cause de leur condition mentale, physique ou médicale, et ce sans limitation d’âge ”.
Op het pre-congres dat in het kader van deze studie werd georganiseerd naar aanleiding van het iADH symposium, werd (specifiek voor deze opdracht) de volgende definitie voor personen met bijzondere noden voorgesteld door de aanwezigen van de discussiegroepen: “People who cannot take care of their own (oral) health because of mental, physical or medical condition, irrespective of age” of in het Nederlands “Personen die niet zelf kunnen instaan voor hun (mond)gezondheid omwille van mentale, fysieke of medische toestand, en dat zonder leeftijdsbeperking”.
