IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Het doel van de associatie in dit verband is het stimuleren van de samenwerking tussen de LGO en de ultraperifere gebieden als vermeld in artikel 349 van het VWEU, hun buurlanden die behoren tot de Groep van staten in Afrika, het Caribische gebied en de Stille Oceaan (ACS) en hun andere buurlanden.

Bij artikel 1, lid 1, van Protocol nr. 3 betreffende ACS-suiker (hierna „het ACS-protocol” genoemd), dat is gehecht aan bijlage V van de Partnerschapsovereenkomst tussen de leden van de groep van Staten in Afrika, het Caribische gebied en de Stille Oceaan, enerzijds, en de Europese Gemeenschap en haar lidstaten, anderzijds, ondertekend te Cotonou op 23 juni 2000 (2) (hierna „de ACS-EG-partnerschapsovereenkomst” genoemd), en bij artikel 1, lid 1, van de Overeenkomst tussen de Europese Economische Gemeenschap en de Republiek India over rietsuiker (3) (hierna „de overeenkomst met India” genoemd) is vastgesteld dat de Gemeenschap zich ertoe verbindt tegen gegarandeerde prijzen bepaalde hoeveelheden rietsuiker van oorsprong uit de ACS-staten, respectievelijk uit India, tot levering waarvan deze staten zich verbinden, te kopen en in te voeren.

Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 2286/2002 of 10 December 2002 on the arrangements applicable to agricultural products and goods resulting from the processing of agricultural products originating in the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (ACP States) and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1706/98 (1),

1. A referral shall be made to the Committee in the cases and according to the procedures laid down in the Internal Agreement between the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States, meeting within the Council, on the Financing and Administration of Community Aid under the Financial Protocol to the Partnership Agreement between the African, Caribbean and Pacific States and the European Community and its Member States signed in Cotonou (Benin) on 23 June 2000 and the allocation of financial assistance for the Overseas Countries and Territories to which Part Four of the EC Treaty applies(1), signed in Brussels on 18 September 2000 (hereinafter referred to as the "Internal Agreement") and, where appropriate, in Council Decision 2001/822/EC of 27 November 2001 on the association of the overseas countries and territories with the European Community ("Overseas Association Decision")(2).
