35. Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Council, the Commission, VP/HR Catherine Ashton, the UN Security Council, the UN Secretary-General, the institutions of the African Union, ECCAS, the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly and the EU Member States, and the National Transitional Council of the Central African Republic.

Underlines the need for a rapid African response to crisis, and identifies the key role in this of the African Standby Force (ASF); underlines the major contribution of the EU, through the African Peace Facility and the funding of the AU, allowing the AU to strengthen its capacity to provide a collective response to crises on the continent; encourages regional organisations, such as the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC), to increase their efforts in the area of rapid African responses to crises and to complement the efforts of the AU.
