Omschrijving: Toestanden van subjectieve spanning en emotionele ontregeling die doorgaans het sociaal functioneren en optreden belemmeren en ontstaan in de periode van aanpassing aan een belangrijke levensverandering of stressveroorzakende levensgebeurtenis. De stressveroorzakende factor kan de samenhang van iemands sociale netwerk aangetast hebben (sterfgeval, scheiding) of sociale steun en waarden in groter verband (migratie, vluchtelingenstatus) of vertegenwoordigde een belangrijke ontwikkelingsstap of crisis (naar school gaan, ouder worden, falen in het bereiken van een dierbaar persoonlijk doel, pensionering). Individuele predispositie of kwetsbaarheid speelt een belangrijke rol bij het risico voor het optreden van aanpassingsstoornissen en de vormen daarvan, maar men neemt niettemin aan dat de toestand niet zou zijn ontstaan zonder de stressveroorzakende factor. Definition: States of subjective distress and emotional disturbance, usually interfering with social functioning and performance, arising in the period of adaptation to a significant life change or a stressful life event. The stressor may have affected the integrity of an individual's social network (bereavement, separation experiences) or the wider system of social supports and values (migration, refugee status), or represented a major developmental transition or crisis (going to school, becoming a parent, failure to attain a cherished personal goal, retirement). Individual predisposition or vulnerability plays an important role in the risk of occurrence and the shaping of the manifestations of adjustment disorders, but it is nevertheless assumed that the condition would not have arisen without the stressor. The manifestations vary and include depressed mood, anxiety or worry (or mixture of these), a feeling of inability to cope, plan ahead, or continue in the present situation, as well as some degree of disability in 9the performance of daily routine. Conduct disorders may be an associated feature, particularly in adolescents. Voor de toepassing van punt 3 van deze bijlage worden overheidsprogramma's inzake voorraden voor voedselvoorziening die in ontwikkelingslanden verifieerbaar en overeenkomstig officieel bekendgemaakte objectieve criteria of richtlijnen worden uitgevoerd, geacht in overeenstemming te zijn met de bepalingen van dit punt, ook wanneer het programma's betreft in het kader waarvan voorraden voedselproducten met het oog op de continuïteit van de voedselvoorziening worden aangekocht en worden vrijgegeven tegen officiële prijzen, op voorwaarde echter dat het verschil tussen de aankoopprijs en de externe referentieprijs wordt meegerekend in de geaggregeerde steun („Aggregate Measurement of Support” AMS).
For the purpose of point 3 of this Annex, governmental stockholding programmes for food security purposes in developing countries whose operation is transparent and conducted in accordance with officially published objective criteria or guidelines shall be considered to be in conformity with the provisions of this point, including programmes under which stocks of foodstuffs for food security purposes are acquired and released at administered prices, provided that the difference between the acquisition price and the external reference price is accounted for in the AMS.

Union financial measures referred to in Articles 9, 10 and 11 shall contribute to the objective of improving data collection, management and use and scientific advice on the state of the resources, on the level of fishing, on the impact that fisheries have on the resources and the marine ecosystem, on the economic aspects of fisheries and aquaculture and on the performance of the fishing industry, within and outside EU waters, by providing financial support to the Member States to establish multiannual aggregated and science based datasets which incorporate biological, technical, environmental and socioeconomic information’.

As regards domestic support measures for farmers (price support), these are regulated through a reduction in the total aggregate measurement of support (total AMS). Developed countries are committed to reducing their total AMS by 20 % over six years (1986-1988 being the base period used to calculate the reductions).
